Carla Murdoch Ceramics is based in Sheffield, Yorkshire.

 

Carla says her ceramics should be used 'for feasting' which reminds me of Dutch masters paintings and this became the inspiration for this series of lifestyle photography.

We had the plan to shoot 3 block colour still life set ups; pink, black and cream. There was a last minute addition of the beautiful blue/green glazed pieces. The glaze is made with waste wood ash.
